Safe, supportive and transformational. From my first connection with the HFV team during the application process, to the conclusion of the experience, I knew I was in good company. I went into the journey expecting a bit of hiking and camping in the woods yet quickly realized that the HFV team provides way more than that. They attend to all details to curate a memorable experience. Well executed logistics, delicious and accommodating food, and a safe and welcoming environment – it’s hard to describe how nice this trip was. The deep connections made with the other participants and the team was like nothing I’ve experienced before. HFV creates a safe and supportive container to help veterans heal through nature and community. I departed this trip with a profound sense of camaraderie that I have been missing since my time in the service, a remembering of how to heal myself and a handful of buddies that I know will be there for me if I ever need them.
